After two straight wins, Brewers take a pounding last night

After taking the first two games against the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Milwaukee Brewers watched as the D-backs bats finally came alive in an 8-1 pounding last night.  Yasmany Thomas belted out two homers, driving in five runs in the win.

The Brewers committed five errors in the slop fest, three of which came with the first three at bats.brewers

“The first inning was out of The Twilight Zone,” manager Craig Counsell said. “It’s not something I’ve ever seen. It was just strange, the first two innings really. It was a tough night. It was a strange night.  You just put it in the rear view mirror and move on.”

The Brewers have the opportunity to clean up their game and get back to winning tonight as they face the D-Backs in the final game of the series.  RHP Rookie Zach Davies (7-4, 3.64 ERA) will get the nod for the Brewers and is expected to go against LHP Robbie Ray (5-9, 4.53 ERA).  Plenty of great seats and affordable tickets are still available so get out to Miller Park now!
